imagesPeople are coming from all around of the globe, the streets are getting colorful, the population is all dressed up in green and yellow and hearts are beating hard in anticipation of the thrill of goals that will make the country explode with joy.

During World Cup in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro’s spetacular Estádio do Maracanã  is set to host seven of the tournament’s matches. These include Argentina versus Bosnia-Herzegovina, the eagerly anticipated Spain versus Chile, Belgium versus Russian images (1)and Ecuador versus France.  Originally built for the World Cup of 1950, the stadium has a grand history and can seat up to 78,000 people. It’s therefore somewhat appropriate that it’s the location of one of the quarter final matches and the final match of the competition itself.

Now, the country is counting down and there is only 6 days left for the start.
