Rodrigo y Gabriela at Sasquatch 2011The Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela is coming for  the first time to  Brazil and the ”Cariocas” will have the opportunity  see to  an unforgettable show of this  brilliant Mexican duo.

They are one of the biggest sensations of the guitar and have performed on the stage of the biggest festivals in the world such as Coachella and Glastonbury.

The duo is responsible for songs that were part of the soundtracks of films such as “Pirates of the Caribbean” (together with the famous composer Hans Zimmer), “Puss in Boots” and “Shrek”.

Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero have been playing together for over 20 years and built a musical career in Dublin, Ireland where they Become good friends of Damien Rice and they made the opening of some of the artist’s shows.

The duo, which has sold about 1.2 million records around the world are influenced by a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock and heavy metal.

The duo’s recordings consist largely of instrumental duets on the classical guitar. They have released five studio albums, three live albums and one EP. They have toured internationally and in May 2010, performed at The White House for President Barack Obama.

Among the great successes of the Duo, the versions of mythic themes like “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and “Orion” by Metallica are the highlights.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela will perform in Rio de Janeiro  on the stage of Teatro Bradesco-Village Mall on May 10th, 2016 at 9:00 pm.


The Italian Pop trio in Rio

imagesThe Italian pop trio consists of three young boys,  the  baritone Gianluca Ginoble and the two tenors Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto. The  boys describe their music as “popera”.

They started in 2009 performing several songs as solo artists but the director Roberto Cenci had the idea to put them together with the purpose to create a trio similar to The Three Tenors. After that,  they sparkle as big stars.

In 2010, they participated in the charity single “We are the World 25 for Haiti”, a remake of the 1985 hit song “We  are the World”. In  the same year, they also performed the songs “Granada” and “Un amore così grande” for Queen Rania of Jordan during the 60th Sanremo Music Festival.

They won the Sanremo Music Festival 2015. They represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015  in Vienna, Austria were they reached third place, but managed to secure a solid first place victory in the televoting.20150517_ESC_2015_Il_Volo_0752

After nearly three years, the young trio IL VOLO, returns to Brazil for their most anticipated tour: GRANDE AMORE, success in the United States and Europe. An American Diva in Rio de Janeiro

She has a brilliant career with over 50 years as an icon of international music with over 100 million records sold and 5 Grammy awards.

Her single voice has made her one of the pillars of culture on the American pop music and she is back to Brazil with her band of exceptional musicians to present her classics in a show like always, exciting.

Dionne started to sing professionally in 1961 after being discovered by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and in less than a decade she had collected many consecutive  success singles as  Walk on By, Promises Promises, A House is Not a Home, Alfie, Say a Little Prayer, This Girl’s in Love with You, I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.

She received her first Grammy Award in 1968 for her mega-hit, Do You Know The Way To San Jose?  She was the first African-American solo female artist of her generation to win the prestigious award for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance. This award was only given to Ella Fitzgerald, another legend.

Warwick  established herself  with great force in American contemporary music and  has also gained popularity among the European public  becoming  the first solo artist to sing for the Queen of England, presidents and many heads of (1)

After receiving many Awards and Grammys, in 1985, she met with  Burt Bacharach , Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder to record the landmark song That’s What Friends Are For, which became the number one hit around the world and first recording dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the AIDS cause.

Warwick was also artist key participant in the all-star charity single “We Are the World”, and in 1984 performed at “Live Aid”.
