“Abba Mamma Mia – The Tribute Show”

abbaᗅᗺᗷᗅWas a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. They became one of the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music and their record sales, made them one of the best-selling music artists. ABBA was the first group from a non-English-speaking country to achieve consistent success in the charts of English-speaking countries, including the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and U.S. The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin American markets and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish.

ABBA disbanded in December 1982 but in 1992 with the re-issue of their original material into the new Greatest Hits collection – ABBA Gold which became a worldwide smash, their work reborn. Several films, such as Muriel’s Wedding, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and the successful musical Mamma Mia!, further revived public interest in the group and the spawning of several tribute bands. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 2010.

On July 3rd at 8:00 pm, Teatro Bradesco will receive on their stage, the Argentinian tribute band played by actresses and singers Gwendolyne Moore (as Agnetha) and Florencia Rovere (as Frida) and the musicians,  Nicolás Salvador, voice and guitar  (as Björn) and Sergio Gutierrez, vocals and pianos (as Benny).download (1)

The artists will faithfully reproduce the vocal and instrumental formation of the original quartet, in concert with all the glamor of a golden epoch that unfortunately no longer exists.

The lights go out, the first chords reach the ears of the audience, the members slowly fill the stage, spotlights light up and the magic happens: the theater is transformed into a great disco. The show is one of the most amazing tributes already created for the group ABBA. Prepare yourself for a real time travel.
